North Carolina: Register to Vote By October 10 or the Billionaires Win!

Don’t do billionaires any favors

Our right to vote is the cornerstone of American democracy. On Nov. 4, people who exercise that sacred right – people like you and me – will head to our polling places to make our voices heard, but we don’t have to wait for Election Day.

In North Carolina you can vote before Election Day. You can vote by mail if you ask for an absentee ballot or vote early in person. But before you can cast that ballot, you must be registered to vote.

Last year, to protect their hold on power, the political extremists who now run our General Assembly and live in the governor’s mansion changed the rules of the game when it comes to registering to vote. Namely, they made it harder to register so by taking away your opportunity to register and vote early on the same day.

In 2014, if you intend to hold these same politicians accountable for kicking jobless workers while they’re down, undermining public education, denying Medicaid expansion, and raising taxes on working people to cut them on the rich, then you better make sure you are registered to vote by October 10 or you won’t get to vote at all.

Click here to register to vote, whether that’s vote-by-absentee ballot or early and in person.

Early voting or voting by absentee ballot is easy. But the window to get registered doesn’t last forever.

Get registered and apply for your mail or absentee ballot now:

Remember, if you don’t vote, a few people with a lot of money will speak for you.

Speak for yourself. Be heard. Register to vote – and vote!
