Help Get the Word Out About the 2014 NALC Food Drive With Thunderclap

Food Drive 2014The 2014 NALC Food Drive is just days away and I need your help spreading the word!

The Food Drive has partnered with an organization called Thunderclap to help get as many people as possible to leave food by their mailboxes on Saturday, May 10.

If you haven’t taken part in a Thunderclap before, think of it as an online flash mob. It’s really easy to join. All you have to do is click on this link and you’ll be taken to the official Food Drive Thunderclap page. There, you’ll be asked to support the Food Drive using Twitter, Facebook and/or Tumblr. Just click on the appropriate buttons and you can quickly add your name to our Thunderclap with your accounts.

Then, when our Thunderclap campaign launches on Friday, May 9 (the day before the Food Drive), Thunderclap will post automatically on the social media accounts of everyone who signed up—and with luck, we’ll get #2014FoodDrive trending!

After you’ve joined the Thunderclap, help promote it! Forward this e-mail to your friends and family members to get them to join in, too. And post the link on your own social media accounts. The bigger this gets, the more people learn about the Letter Carriers’ Food Drive and the more people we can help in communities across the country.

Also, if you don’t already, follow the Food Drive on Facebook and on Twitter.

In Solidarity,

Pam Donato
NALC Community and Membership Outreach Coordinator

Awesome that you’re doing this. 🙂 My son did a food drive for his birthday party.
