Sometime next week, the Senate is likely to vote on an amendment (#68) from Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK) and several other senators, which would strike from the Senate’s continuing resolution (CR) the requirement that the Postal Service provide six-day mail delivery to the American public.
This amendment – and the general movement to end Saturday service – is an attack on the future of the United States Postal Service, the customers who need it and the employees who make it work. Changes like this, which would negatively impact every American, deserve much more thought and debate, not a rushed up or down vote.

As soon as possible, call 888-987-3602 and urge your senator to vote “No” on Amendment 68 to the CR. And please leave a voicemail message if no one answers.
